Hey, I am Alex, I've been owner of PURGATORY PIZZA for 5 years and I am on my way to opening up my newest concept, HOT TONGUE PIZZA.
I've worked every single position in the kitchen and I'am extremely passionate about pizza, and restaurant management. I've always drawn a lot parallels from my back round in the music industry and applied them to food.
Running a restaurant is a lot like being in a band. Your team is your band, service is the shows, your customers are the fans and your food is the music.
I have a broad knowledge of bread baking, which contributes to the most important part of any pizza shop, the dough and its process. Additionally, I’m extremely versed in plant based cuisine, from house made vegan cheeses/meats to curating menu items that not only vegans will enjoy.
Every experience is a learning experience. My goal is to help provide you with what I've gained through my experiences, mostly the failures, so you don't have to make the same mistakes I already have.
